A little about this piece

Calvin Hampton was a leading American organist and sacred music composer. He wrote a new setting of this familiar hymn by Fredrick W. Faber (1814 - 1863) in 1977. In 2019, this acapella version was arranged by St. Gregory's director of music, Sanford Dole.

Members of St. Gregory's Choir sang it on June 21, 2020 as a part of our pandemic inspired streaming liturgy.

The singers include Sanford Dole, Peggy Graybill, Bill Phillips, Stephanie Richardson, Jon Spangler and Jesse Turner.
