Lynn Park--The Benign Eye
Posted in on Friday, July 18, 2008
"I’m middle-aged, single, use a power chair because of having osteogenesis imperfecta, also known as “the brittle bone disease.” This is both central--and peripheral--to my existence. I have a bi-chambered heart in that my sensibilities are both Christian and Buddhist. I am a transplanted Southerner glad never to have lost my accent entirely. I believe that every event is proof of the possible and therefore must not be discounted and that it’s never too late to have a wild and gracious future. I have a passionate attachment to DietPepsi and don’t particularly like vegetables! The last two years, since I’ve been concentrating on photography, I feel as if I’ve come home and finally found out what I’m supposed to do. For much of my life I’ve been a writer--poetry, journals, nonfiction, sermons while I was in seminary (I decided not to become ordained). This blog represents an attempt to come back to words, to juxtapose them with my photographs, and see what happens....”
